No longer STUCK in Illinois!! After 30 years of living in Northern Illinois we are officially nomads. Our motto....Let's go on an adventure! You'll likely find us hanging out by a river, or lake, or ocean.

Wednesday update

After what seems like forever, the sun came out today. For those living in warm, sunny climates you have no idea how happy sunshine can make a person. We've had endless days of gray. Dark gray, light gray, gray with freezing rain, sleet, and snow.
To escape the wintry mix of crappy weather my very patient family tagged along with me to Chicago over the weekend. Our first stop was Intelligensia Coffee. They offer tours of the roasting facility once a month. My eldest said it was like being in an "Unwrapped" episode. After drinking enough coffee to cause caffeine poisoning we headed over to the 2nd annual Renegade Craft Fair.

If you have an opportunity to catch one of these in your area,GO! It's not your typical craft fair. You can find everything from handbags to lamps. Most are one of a kind from very crafty/talented vendors.
After Renegade I took them by Chix With Stix Knitting shop in Forest Park,IL. It was such a cute shop and busy with holiday shoppers. It was cool to see my little sock bags for sale throughout the shop. My kids fell in love with the little chihuahua Howie, the manager's dog. They hung out on the comfy couch with the dog while I browsed through the yarn shelves.
Our day wasn't quite over as Fringe was having their going out of business sale Saturday too. I stopped by and looked through their yarn shelves too before heading home.

My guys are troopers for putting up with my depressed mood the past couple of weeks. Saturday's outing was just what I needed to get back to feeling better. Thank You!!
