Planning for summer

This winter seems incredibly long and cold. Last year we finally got around to getting our passports for Spring Break 2009. We were planning on traveling down to Costa Rica in March but had to cancel our trip. Someday(hopefully before the kids leave) we'll vacation outside the United States.

A few days ago I booked our first summer "outing". The kids loved Cornell camp so much last year we decided to travel to upstate New York again for a week this summer. The kids will be busy all day long with their groups and husband and I will hike, swim, and relax all week long. Perfect!!

Yesterday the weather was gorgeous here in Northern Illinois. The kids and I went for a long hike down a nature trail in our town. It felt like spring.

After such a nice day of sun and warm temperatures it's hard to go back to February weather today.

1000

I reached another "magical" number sold in my Etsy shop over this past weekend. I reached 1000 bags sold. When I started my shop a year and a half ago I had no idea how many little bags I'd be sewing and sending out to crocheters and knitters all around the world.
In celebration I purchased yarn through another Etsy shop. Numma numma also sell their yarns online over at the Loopy Ewe.

It's a beautiful, squishy, soft, Merino destined to become a shawl.

Thanks so very much to all my customers for making my dream of working from home a reality!
